Week One weigh in
Just a quick post today as very busy chicken here. Weigh in at 72.9kgs today (loss of 0.4kg since first weigh in of the round). I adjusted my ticker so it reflects the start of the round and not pre-season (I did lose about 3kgs in pre season - yay). Week one and I already have red flags as I am going to Canberra tonight, back tomorrow and then to Husskisson for Triathlon all weekend - always a problem as many athletes use a race as an excuse to eat many treats after..... I will be strong!

Pre-season week 4
Weigh in at 73.5kg this week - a 1kg loss. I am very unmotivated with exercise this week and I need to pick it up. I know I will next week, but what about this one? A bit flat and not really happy at the moment. I get nice moments of happiness, but overall I am frustrated and am finding it very difficult to find the time and motivation to do the things that matter to me. In this case I am talking about my PhD. I just want to get the damn thing finished so I have more choices.
OK, whinge over. I have the pre-season task for "Organise and Diarise" playing while I write this blog and Mish is giving me a good talking to. I am going to listen and apply all the 12wbt pointers into my PhD as well. I am going to be so planned that I can only be inspired to do the two things that will help me get to happiness - 12wbt (and my triathlon) and my PhD.
I do have some awesome goals for exercise this year and am excited to get into them. I have the Husskisson sprint triathlon next weekend (750m:20:5kms) and Club Champs triathlon in week 11 (1:30:8kms). I do the mother's day classic run every year, but have been doing the 4km run at the Domain in Sydney, this year I am going to do the 8km run. I also do the city2surf each year and this year I want to run the whole thing (including heartbreak hill) - I also fundraise for Endometriosis Research for the city2surf if anyone wants to join me. So I have a few big goals, i just need a couple more to put in for this round in weeks 4 and 8 (or close to).
I am looking forward to next week and the start of this round. Tomorrow will be good too when the first week of recipes and exercises are out. I hope there are some good new ones as I am hanging for some new stuff.

Pre-season week 3
No weight change this week and very very busy! Work full on, training hard, sleeping not so good, relationship stuff to work thru, decisions to make, priorities to determine, PhDs to apply 12wbt principles to....... the list goes on. I am a little overwhelmed at the moment. But working through it and I have some amazing around me both at work and with friends and family. I am keeping the positives and working hard on removing or managing the negatives.
Hope you are all doing well.
Hugs for this week - Jas xoxo

Pre-season week 2 and Triathlon
800g down this week and 1 triathlon up :)
I had a ball on my first triathlon in Nowra on Sunday. After 18 months of building up to it (took longer as I was knocked out with illness for 6 months last year). It was a sprint distance = 750m open water swim / 20km cycle / 5km run. I was slow, but did not stop and know where I can push a bit harder when I do my second Tri in 3.5 weeks in Husskisson. I can't wait and am addicted already!
I have also set my goals as per Mish's instructions for pre-season and included in that is to do the NSW Triathlon Australia Club Champs in Forster at the end of week 11. It is a 1km ocean swim / 30km cycle / 8km run. So I have my training cut out for me. Luckily my Tri club (Balance and UTS Triathlon Club) is putting together a 10 week training schedule specifically for the Club Champs. I am so excited! I love the training and the building up to a goal and then achieving that goal. It feels so good!

Pre-season week 1
OK, so only a 300g loss this week - but a loss is a loss so I am happy. It was mostly because I did not exercise enough - only twice this week... They were big sessions, but two is just not enough. But I did have a couple of bad food choice days and had pizza of all things on the weekend. At least it was only 2 slices and not more.
So, this week I plan on eating very clean and doing 5 sessions at least and that will be hard cause I have my triathlon on Sunday and need to taper and then recover. But I can do it!
I hope you are all doing well and are pumped with the opening of the pre-season tasks. Make sure you really spend time on them (especially the ones on your excuses and your goals) - they are VERY important and will make all the difference on whether you make it through to the end of the 12 weeks or not. Do exactly as Mish tells you and be true to yourself :)

week before pre-season weigh in
Ok, so back tracking a bit first..... Last week when I signed up for this round of 12wbt I weighed in at 76.2kgs. This morning I weighed in at 75.6kgs - a loss of 600g this week which I am happy with because I had an icecream and a toast (with butter and jam) hiccup on the weekend. I have been exercising 3-4 times a week between 300 and 700 calories. So I clearly have room for improvement and this is another one of the reasons I have signed up again.
On the forums Tricia has set a challenge for those returning members to make a goal weight for the start of the season. Mine is 73kgs (or less of course) and there are 4 weeks to get there - so a sensible goal for me.
On a more exciting note - I am doing my very first triathlon in Nowra on Sunday 22nd January. It feels like I have been training forever to get to the first real tri as I was very nearly there at this time last year when I got repeatedly sick for 6 months (1 flu, 1 lung infection, and 7 colds.....). But feeling good and really ready to do my Sprint (750m ocean swim, 20km cycle, 5km run). It will be hard, but I am only competing against myself and my triathlon club (Balance and UTS) will be supporting me all the way.
I have also started thinking about my exercise milestones for this 12wbt round for weeks 4, 8 and 12. None of my triathlon events fit this at all so I thought I would add hiking as my milestones/treats. The Wild Endurance 100km (50/50 relay) walk is on in the Blue Mountains on the perfect weekend (5th and 6th May) so I think that will be it - does anyone want to join me?

12WBT Round 1 2012 - here I come!
Yipee - I am all signed up for the next round and am rearing to go! My hope/aim/goal is to get to goal weight this round. And, if possible, get there by my 36th birthday on 24th April. I am committed and ready and know that my best chance is through this amazing program that has already got me past halfway in my first round. Lets hit it!
